Xmas and New Year Open!

As a family run business we are open every day through Xmas and the New Year.  NZ Post couriers also work as normal during this time but are closed on the statutory holidays; Dec 25th & 26th, plus Jan 1st & 2nd

Packaging

We only now use 100% recyclable or reusable packaging!   It costs us a bit more but we think it's the right thing to do!

Our own bemo products are in re-useable high food grade stand-up pouches - just wash out and use again.   Our cool black courier bags are 100% home compostable - simply add them to your home compost bin! (removing the shipping labels is recommended).

Delivery

We ship to any address (including rural addresses and PO boxes) in NZ, we charge a flat rate for normal (non-rural) delivery, and a flat rate for rural delivery (if  your address is "RD") no matter how much you order.  We use NZ Post CourierPost and no signature is required.

Our aim is to ship orders on the day we receive them if we get orders before 3pm. Stock is all despatched from 1 location and usually you'll receive your order next day for major metro areas, and other locations within 1-2 days.

We provide shipping updates and notifications by email to keep you informed.

Description

Black garlic is simply regular garlic that has been slowly fermented over weeks at controlled heat and humidity — and the transformation is remarkable. The pungent raw garlic smell disappears almost entirely, the flavour becomes rich and mellow, and the nutritional profile shifts dramatically.

The fermentation process converts allicin, the sulphur compound responsible for garlic's familiar smell, into more stable antioxidant compounds, most notably S-allyl cysteine (SAC), which is more readily absorbed by the body than compounds found in raw garlic. The result is a supplement that may contain up to ten times more polyphenols than regular garlic. Swanson's Kyoto Aged Black Garlic draws on the Japanese tradition of aged black garlic use, delivering 650mg per capsule in an easy-to-take, virtually odourless form. It may help support the body's natural antioxidant defences, as well as immune and cardiovascular function without the garlic breath.

Ingredients

Per 1 capsule (serving size), 30 servings per container:

Aged Black Garlic (Allium sativum) (bulb) 650mg

Other ingredients: Gelatin, Rice Bran, Magnesium Stearate, Silica.

Directions

Take 1 capsule daily with food and water.
