NOW Foods Organic Inulin Prebiotic Pure Powder is a single-ingredient, certified organic prebiotic fibre sourced from Blue Agave. Inulin is a fructooligosaccharide (FOS) — a soluble prebiotic fibre that resists digestion in the upper gastrointestinal tract and reaches the large intestine essentially intact, where it serves as a fuel source for the beneficial bacteria that colonise the gut.

As intestinal probiotic bacteria consume inulin, they produce short-chain fatty acids including butyrate, which help nourish the cells lining the colon and support normal intestinal health and function. With a very low glycemic index, inulin does not negatively affect blood glucose levels and adds only mild, pleasant sweetness to food or drinks — making it easy to incorporate into coffee, smoothies, yogurt, oatmeal, or any beverage without altering flavour. At roughly 3.3g of Organic Inulin per teaspoon serving and approximately 57 servings per 227g jar, this is a practical, cost-effective way to support a balanced gut microbiome as part of a varied diet.

Directions
