Xmas and New Year Open!

As a family run business we are open every day through Xmas and the New Year.  NZ Post couriers also work as normal during this time but are closed on the statutory holidays; Dec 25th & 26th, plus Jan 1st & 2nd

Packaging

We only now use 100% recyclable or reusable packaging!   It costs us a bit more but we think it's the right thing to do!

Our own bemo products are in re-useable high food grade stand-up pouches - just wash out and use again.   Our cool black courier bags are 100% home compostable - simply add them to your home compost bin! (removing the shipping labels is recommended).

Delivery

We ship to any address (including rural addresses and PO boxes) in NZ, we charge a flat rate for normal (non-rural) delivery, and a flat rate for rural delivery (if  your address is "RD") no matter how much you order.  We use NZ Post CourierPost and no signature is required.

Our aim is to ship orders on the day we receive them if we get orders before 3pm. Stock is all despatched from 1 location and usually you'll receive your order next day for major metro areas, and other locations within 1-2 days.

We provide shipping updates and notifications by email to keep you informed.

Description

Doctor's Best Lutein with Lutemax 2020 delivers 20mg of lutein per softgel alongside 4mg of zeaxanthin (including a minimum 1mg meso-zeaxanthin) — all three carotenoids sourced from Lutemax 2020, a premium marigold flower extract from OmniActive Health Technologies. Lutein, zeaxanthin, and meso-zeaxanthin are the only carotenoids that accumulate in the lens and macular region of the retina, where they form the macular pigment that helps support normal visual function. Because the human body cannot produce these carotenoids, dietary intake and supplementation are the only ways to maintain their levels.

This formula is particularly relevant for those with regular exposure to digital screens, sunlight, and artificial indoor lighting, as lutein supports the eye's natural defences against high-energy blue light and helps support the body's antioxidant response to oxidative stress in eye tissues. Meso-zeaxanthin is of particular note: it is rarely found in the diet yet plays an important role in the central macular region, making this three-carotenoid formula a more complete option than standard lutein-only products. Non-GMO, gluten free, and formulated with minimal other ingredients.

(including minimum 1mg Meso-zeaxanthin)

Other ingredients: Sunflower Oil, Softgel Capsule (Gelatin, Glycerin, Purified Water).

Non-GMO. Gluten free. Contains nothing other than listed ingredients. This product contains natural ingredients that may vary in colour.

Directions

Take 1 softgel daily with or without food, or as recommended by a nutritionally informed physician. Taking with a meal containing some fat may support carotenoid absorption. Store in a cool, dry place.
