Delivery
We ship to any address (including rural addresses and PO boxes) in NZ, we charge a flat rate for normal (non-rural) delivery, and a flat rate for rural delivery (if your address is "RD") no matter how much you order. We use NZ Post CourierPost and no signature is required.
Our aim is to ship orders on the day we receive them if we get orders before 3pm. Stock is all despatched from 1 location and usually you'll receive your order next day for major metro areas, and other locations within 1-2 days.

Biotin (5000mcg) Overview
If you've been dealing with thinning or brittle hair, or thin fingernails that split and break easily, NOW Foods 5mg Biotin supplement may be a huge help to you. Biotin was discovered when scientists were looking for the cause and cure for a disease then known as "egg-white injury syndrome". One of this disease's primary clinical signs is hair loss (alopecia) and thin, brittle hair. They eventually deduced that raw egg whites contain a protein that irreversibly binds to biotin in food, gradually depleting the body's supply and eventually inducing a deficiency state which produces the symptoms of the disease.
Biotin has been studied ever since and turns out to be an interesting B vitamin that plays a few different roles in growth and metabolism. Today, biotin supplements like this one from NOW Foods are used for 2 main purposes. Most users take biotin to improve the growth and condition of hair and nails, with many people seeing great results. It's also on the growing list of nutrients that can help to stabilize blood sugar and levels, along with chromium, alpha lipoic acid and cinnamon. Multivitamins and B complex formulas contain many nutrients that are good for hair including 'some' biotin but typically not very much. So, keep taking your multi or B complex but use a separate biotin supplement if you're trying to grow thicker, more robust hair and nails. NOW Foods leads the industry for quality formulas, so their 5 mg biotin would be a great choice. Ideally, you'll give this 2-3 months to work, taking it as directed every day. Couple it with a good protein powder like NOW Whey Protein Isoalte and have a shake or two every day. Hair and nails grow slowly and from the roots out, so you'll have to be patient, but the combination of extra protein and biotin can make a big difference with consistent use.
