Xmas and New Year Open!

As a family run business we are open every day through Xmas and the New Year.  NZ Post couriers also work as normal during this time but are closed on the statutory holidays; Dec 25th & 26th, plus Jan 1st & 2nd

Packaging

We only now use 100% recyclable or reusable packaging!   It costs us a bit more but we think it's the right thing to do!

Our own bemo products are in re-useable high food grade stand-up pouches - just wash out and use again.   Our cool black courier bags are 100% home compostable - simply add them to your home compost bin! (removing the shipping labels is recommended).

Delivery

We ship to any address (including rural addresses and PO boxes) in NZ, we charge a flat rate for normal (non-rural) delivery, and a flat rate for rural delivery (if  your address is "RD") no matter how much you order.  We use NZ Post CourierPost and no signature is required.

Our aim is to ship orders on the day we receive them if we get orders before 3pm. Stock is all despatched from 1 location and usually you'll receive your order next day for major metro areas, and other locations within 1-2 days.

We provide shipping updates and notifications by email to keep you informed.

Description

NOW Foods Slippery Elm Powder is the pure, loose powder form of Slippery Elm inner bark (Ulmus rubra) it offers the same mucilage-rich herb as the capsule format in a versatile powder that can be prepared as a warm drink. Slippery Elm inner bark has a long history of traditional use as a soothing herbal preparation, valued for its mucilaginous properties that may help coat and support the tissues of the gastrointestinal tract. As a powder, it can be simmered in water to create a traditional herbal drink, with honey added to taste. The powder has a mild, slightly earthy flavour and mixes smoothly into warm liquid. A practical format for those who prefer not to take capsules or who want flexibility in how they use the herb.

Per 1 teaspoon (1.8g) serving, approximately 63 servings per container:

Other ingredients: None.

Not manufactured with yeast, wheat, gluten, soy, milk, egg, fish, shellfish, tree nut or sesame ingredients. Produced in a GMP facility that processes other ingredients containing these allergens.

Directions

Stir 1 teaspoon into 1 cup of water and simmer for several minutes. Allow to cool, then add honey to taste. Sip or gargle for 1 minute before swallowing. Store in a cool, dry place after opening.
