Now Sports Creatine Monohydrate is a pure, single-ingredient creatine powder with no additives or preservatives. Creatine is a compound that occurs naturally in the body, primarily stored in skeletal muscle, where it serves as a precursor to adenosine triphosphate (ATP) — the form of chemical energy that powers all cellular activity. The body's stored creatine creates a readily available pool of ATP to help fuel quick bursts of muscular power and strength. Studies have demonstrated that creatine supplementation may help to support the maintenance of existing muscle tissue, the growth and development of lean mass, and optimal performance during short bouts of intense exercise. Directions

Mix 1½ level teaspoons into fruit juice or other sweetened liquid 3 to 4 times daily, before and after exercise, for the first 7 days (loading phase).
For maintenance thereafter, consume 1 to 3 times daily. Allow 3 to 4 hours between doses.
For continuous use beyond 28 days, use one serving daily. Consume plenty of fluids. Store in a cool, dry, dark place after opening. This product is sold by weight not volume.
