Doctors Best Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA) 600mg is a powerful antioxidant that is both fat and water soluble; it is sometimes referred to as the universal antioxidant. ALA supports the body's defence against free radicals and recycles antioxidant nutrients such as vitamins C and E as well as playing a role in the recycling of glutathione. Alpha-Lipoic Acid functions as a co-enzyme in the metabolism of carbohydrates. It is required for synthesis of acetyl CoA, a key metabolite in the cellular process that turns glucose into energy.
Alpha-Lipoic Acid provides antioxidant support. It also supports healthy glucose metabolism, supports healthy aging and supports cardiovascular health.

Directions
Take one capsule daily, preferably between meals or as recommended by a healthcare practitioner. Store in a cool dry place.

Packaging
We only now use 100% recyclable or reusable packaging! It costs us a bit more but we think it's the right thing to do!
Our own bemo products are in re-useable high food grade stand-up pouches - just wash out and use again. Our cool black courier bags are 100% home compostable - simply add them to your home compost bin! (removing the shipping labels is recommended).
Delivery
We ship to any address (including rural addresses and PO boxes) in NZ, we charge a flat rate for normal (non-rural) delivery, and a flat rate for rural delivery (if your address is "RD") no matter how much you order. We use CourierPost and no signature is required.
Our aim is to ship orders on the day we receive them if we get orders before 3pm. Stock is all despatched from 1 location and usually you'll receive your order next day for major metro areas, and other locations within 1-2 days.
